Nick brings years of South Carolina family court experience and an elite academic background to all of the cases he handles. Nick fights hard for his clients in order to accomplish their goals, and to protect their interests.

Nick is originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. During high school, he played baseball and ice hockey, and won two state championships in debate. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for his undergraduate education, where he served as an officer of the Sigma Phi fraternity.

After graduating, Nick was awarded the “Dean’s Merit Scholarship” and attended the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida. During law school, Nick excelled academically, graduating in the top 5% of all lawyers in his class, and serving as a member of the University of Miami Law Review. After graduation, Nick was awarded the prestigious “Order of the Coif” by the school.

Nick has been practicing law since 2010. He is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and in Florida. He founded his law firm in Columbia, SC in February of 2015. Nick has been humbled by all of the clients who have placed their trust in him, and by how quickly his law firm has grown.

Nick takes cases statewide, with a focus on the midlands (Columbia and Lexington). Nick has handled hundreds of divorce, custody, and family cases in South Carolina, and has taken multiple divorce and custody cases to trial in Richland and Lexington Counties. He knows what needs to be done before a case begins, after a case is filed, and throughout litigation to help his clients achieve their goals. Nick has substantial experience handling high-conflict and high-value divorce cases, divorces involving marital businesses, prenuptial agreements, military divorce cases, adultery divorces, de facto custodian and grandparent custody cases, interstate and international custody cases, jurisdictional disputes, contempt actions, emergency custody cases and modifications, alimony and alimony modification cases, parental alienation cases, appeals, and more.

Nick believes that the goal of every family court attorney should be to get their client through the family court system as expeditiously as possible, with the best outcome possible. Whether that means negotiating a prompt and fair settlement, or aggressively pursuing contested litigation, Nick is dedicated to assisting his clients in achieving their goals.

Nick believes that even in cases involving negotiation and approval of an agreement, it’s critically important to have an experienced attorney to ensure that the agreement is truly fair, to ensure that the client’s rights in the agreement are enforceable, and to ensure that the client is protected from future risks they might not have anticipated.
